Hi, i've build a tremulus lune on veroboard but i'm not getting any output.

The guitar signal seems to get through the circuit until it gets to the LDR side of the VTL5C2 then there is no signal once it goes through the LDR.
The LED that shows the rate of the tremelo works and changes rate when i turn the rate pot.

I used 4558 IC's for both IC's because i don't have a TL072.

IC1 (or U1)
P1 2.36V
P2 2.30V
P3 0.06V
P4 0V
P5 0.06V
P6 2.35V
P7 2.36V
P8 2.88

IC1 (or U1)
P1 keeps changing 1.8 - 2.2V
P2 keeps changing 1.8 - 2.2V
P3 keeps changing 1.8 - 2.2V
P4 0V
P5 keeps changing 1.8 - 2.2V
P6 keeps changing 1.8 - 2.2V
P7 keeps changing 1.8 - 2.2V
P8 keeps changing 1.8 - 2.2V

5.5V battery, eeeek

1) get a new battery, LOL

2) have you audio probed it? Sounds like you have if you know no signal is getting thru after the optocoupler.  Check your power supply connections to the 2nd opamp.  Measure your battery voltage again with circuit on...is it dropping fairly regularly? That would = a short.
Check all your connections for shorts, missed connections between components, backwards parts (and IC's!).   Pin 1 on U1 should be your battery voltage...I think something is either backwards or has a short - that is usually the problem!!  ;o)
Keep at it and you'll find the trouble...audio probe is invaluable for this!!
