9 volt ac

I just accidently plugged a 9 volt ac adapter into my GGG Big Muff and yet it still works fine. So I'm wondering why it still works because I read doing this can easily fry your pedal.

Well, you can get lucky... It depends a lot on the circuit (might even have reverse polarity protection, which in that case destruction would be doubtful), Length of time you have it plugged in (semiconductors may draw excess current in reverse, and the resulting heat buildup over time ends up finally frying them)...
