powering an FL301

I will be building an FL301, which uses 18v - I'm used to 9v with most of my pedals.

There's two ways I see being able to power this thing:

1. Charge pump that turns 9v into 17-18v using a max1044

2. Custom cable that uses 2 9v source from my pedal power plus (or any other powersupply). Either I can buy one or make one (have to check on the wiring to make one...)

Which would be a better idea? I'm putting the pedal in a 3in1 box with a phaser and a tremolo, and if I go the custom cable method I'll need two DC jacks, but if I go with the charge pump I'll use one jack to power all three pcb's.

Also, how many MA will this thing draw using an EA trem, the Phase 45, and the FL301? Is it as simple as adding the current draw of each? How much 9V current draw would there be using the charge pump to power the FL301? Twice the 18V current draw?
