Hey all, first post here so sorry if it's not OK to ask this here... but I have a Boss PS-3 that I need to replace a broken pot on. Its the Alps brand 11-position mode pot. I took the pedal apart and can't distinguish the value/type of pot used but I took a pic of it. The markings say "503B 5 EV" Anyone know what I can use to replace it? Boss's website was no help. Thanks!

I hazard a guess that "503B" = 50k, Linear
any ol 50kB 9mm pot should fit. dunno exactly what brand boss use

Ok I suppose it wouldn't hurt to try. The brand is Alps btw.
Do you think a normal 50k B pot would work? The original pot has 11 positions because it is a mode selector. Would it matter if the new pot didn't click in to the positions?

yes, a plain 'ol 50k linear pot will work, though it will probably be a pain to use, so you're probably better off contacting the boss service department and getting a 11 point click pot from them...

Sounds like that's what I'll have to do. Thanks for helping!
