Hello! This is my first post here so please excuse me if I sound like too big of an idiot.I just built a Buzz Box from this schematic,  http://www.home-wrecker.com/bazz.html#buzzbox  and it sounds great!  My question is how would  I add a "fuzz" control to this?   I  searched a bit and found this:

"I used a 20k log pot, between the jack input and the connection to the board/switch, jack to lug 1, 2/3 to board. A 5k or 10k would be better i think, as it all happens in the last 25% of the 20k pot. "

I guess I am too much of a rookie builder to totally understand exactly the part that says "2/3 to board".  I would sincerely appreciate any help on this!  Additionally, I must say this is an incredible forum and I am amazed  at the great ideas  and information I have been reading.  Thanks for your time!

That would mean lugs 2 & 3 on the pot to the board. However, if it happens in the last 25% of the 20k pot, you'll probably want a 10k pot or so in series with a 10k resistor.

That helps but I am real dumb.   Do I connect  lug 2 to "in"  and lug 3 to  "ground"?

You would want lug 1 connected to the input jack and connect lugs 2 and 3 to each other and to the input of the board.

That is what this means to me:

Thanks "StereoKills"!   This will really help.  Aside from gaining some control to the effect, I am housing this guy in a Fuzzrite style  metal enclosure so I can also utilize the two knob provisions.   I appreciate your  time and patience.  I look forward to learning more and more as I chew through all the good info here on the forum.

Hey no problem! I learn so much cool stuff on here every day. Let us know how it turns out.

Just to follow up, all you guy's info helped a ton.  Fuzz control and footswitch are wired in and guts are in my enclosure, and this thing sounds like a thousand  p*ssed-off bees!  Now to "time trip" back and chew on some "Spirit in the Sky" (as long as my wife lets me).
