Has anybody heard of a 4557 op amp?  I've tried looking for it and I can't locate any.  I saw one in a schematic for an Xotic AC booster but it's eluded me so far.

Maybe it's a typo and it's a 4558

Could be. I'm going to try it with the 4558 in there and see how it turns out.  Any suggestions for other opamps to try?

TL072. But I like the RC4558 Ti chips. Always have.

I remember seeing RC4557s. Same Ratheon family or naming scheme as the RC4558. Long ago and far away.

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.

Maybe it was a blurred out 4559? I've tried those and liked 'em.
