....in so many ways but that's not important right now.

I'm needing help in a messy project please! Looking for a pros help on this.

I'm rehousing an effect into a crybaby shell and what I wanna do is wire the four pots to a rotary switch to determine what pot will be taken over by the "wah" pot.

I was thinking if the wah pot is in series with the chosen pot, then all I need to do is run from the output of pots to switch then in one leg of wah and out the center. And i can just turn original pot down to zero ohms when using wah pot. This sound right? Or do I wanna bypass original pots when switched to wah?

It gets a lil messier: 3 pots are 50k, 4th is 250k. If I can't find a crybaby compatible dual ganged pot, I'll havta go with a 200k wah pot and somehow bridge the 3 down to 50k.
I forgot what I was gonna say here.

Almost sounds like you could switch in fixed resistors in parallel with the wah pot to change their value....much simpler than dealing with a 3-terminal switching thing!!
Schematic please, lol.

Sorry,  can't link schematic right now, using my cell phone to post, can't get it to add link or pic. Ill try to asap.

Its a boss bf2 flange.

2 pots have a lug going to ground
Rate pot has lug 2,3 together

Did you make sure that the PCB will physically fit inside of your CryBaby shell? It seems like you would be hard pressed to make that work because of the size of the Boss PCB and where the jacks are located.

It is a tight fit! I didn't desolder the jacks yet because I'm working on some mods, but I have a couple of different style jacks and if they wont fit beside the board I figured I'd move them north and put pots or toggles in their place.

What method of bypassing were you planning to do?
Mystery lounge. No tables, chairs or waiters here. In fact, we're all quite alone.

Cool. Having been inside of CryBaby enclosures a lot, it was just the first thing I thought of.

For the entire effect?
Haven't really thought about that, I got a spst switch and a dpdt if I decide on true bypass.

To bypass wah/expression:  rotary switch leaving one of the throws empty. Small bear has 3p4t and 4p3t, not sure which way to go with that yet either.

If I were doing it, I'd just make the rate pot the one that's adjusted by the expression pedal.

You might get some mileage adjusting the depth pot on the fly ... but I can't imagine spinning the resonance or the manual pot would do a whole lot in terms of "effect"
