I bought some Stripboard through the forum store and it doesnt fit into a 1590BB closure sideways.

Can Stripboard be cut?

Schappy

The description of the boards in the store is approximately 3" X 2".

Well the boards are actually close to 4" in length which is too long for a BB box.

yeah

I cut mine using a vise and a fine blade hacksaw

some prefer to do the "score and snap" method with a utility knife

Schappy

So cut it the same as you would perfboard?

Schappy

How about using a dremel with a cutting attachment/

Score it with a knife (it only takes one pass) and snap it.  I don't see any reason to get any fancier than that.  30 seconds, one simple tool and you're done.  If you're really anal you can file down the edges so they're nice and smoth.  Another 30 seconds.

I use the dremel w/cutting attachment...works really well.  just keep a firm grip on it or it'll race away on you and gouge the stripboard.

oh and wear eye protection/mask.  :)

You can also use tin snips. They are like big scissors.

Thanks for the help guys.

I used a dremel with a cutting wheel.

Works great but googles are a must.
