Bypass / feedback looper with buffers

I'd like to build a bypass / feedback looper pedal, but I'd like to buffer the inputs and the outputs.

I'd like to have as controls: feedback amount, clean blend to effects send, and clean blend to output.  That is, I can imagine times when I'd like the effects loop to keep feeding back (and also going to the output) while having the clean go only to the output and not to the effects loop.

Does anyone have suggestions?  Would it suffice to use a bunch of Buff N Blends, for example?

Did you make any progress on this?  I'm thinking of building my bassist a box with 3 parallel effects loops.  Each loop return would have a blend knob back to the dry "bus".  My thought was maybe a series of buff 'n blends or perhaps the paralooper with multiple send returns.  Not sure about getting things out of phase, though - need to study it more.

Jay, no, I haven't made any progress on this, alas. I've been doing some other projects, and also I'm waiting until I hear some suggestions from those who have done something similar with success.
