Simple Noise Gate

Just wonder if someone could point me in the direction of a Simple Noise Gate, other then the tonepad Callate Gate 2

I've done drawings for a PCB for the MXR noise gate at Tonepad and I think it's a fairly simple build for a noise gate considering what a noise gate does. Any noise gate, unless you could find a special chip that is just a noise gate, is going to be somewhat complex as it is about a straight through circuit with a sidechain... alike a compressor or even an envelope follower so simple is a relative term for these things.

There's a DOD 230 noise gate project floating around somewhere... I breadboarded it.  It worked ok, but the turn off rate wasn't fast enough for me.  The Q and D compressor also has a gate function (ahem, pardon me- "downward expansion"), but I haven't tried it yet.
