Does it matter if the 1M pulldown resistor is placed between Tip and Ring or Tip and Sleeve? Except distance advantage...

See any problems?
Never remember which lug is called what on a pot.
I think the pot in the is wired correct if looking from "below" (the side that you can ground, in guitars for example)

Though I'm not sure about the numbers of the lugs

Yes looks good assuming there's a cut under the Mallory.  Only thing is the input cap is 5nf not pf and the pot1 and pot3 wires need swapping.

Electric Warrior

The electrolytic at the emitter is usually a 25µF one. Sometimes both are.

I used the one on fuzzcentral:

However, you seem to have a point, here are both electrolytics 22µF:

In the later schematic, electrolytics seems to be - to ground instead of + ground?
Anyone know how this hand drawn schematic sounds compared to the one at fuzzcentral, and, is the electrolytics drawn wrong way on the hand drawn schematic?

And.. is pulldown resistors needed on both input and output to reduce pops?
I've read it depends on the in/out caps on a circuit. For the rangemaster, do I need to use pulldown resistors on both IN and OUT jacks to remove the pop sound?
