Hey guys, I am sure I am right here but I cannot remember, must have read this a thousand times (and can;t find it now!) grrr.

Anyway, I have a 'grounding strip' on the veroboard. Should I ground the input and output jacks AND the negative of the 9vDC jack to this strip? So that they are all tied together? Pretty sure this is right but just want confirmation.

Right idea, but it's like: ground the stereo input and mono output jacks there, then run a wire from the PCB strip to the input jack 'ring', and the 9V "-" goes to the switched part of the ring.  That is for switching the power on when you insert a plug.  You might need a DMM to confirm which contacts on the stereo jack are Tip, Ring, and Sleeve...

Once the plug is in, you essentially have exactly what you wrote above.  It helped me to look up "TRS JACK" on Wikipedia when I was learning that....tip is signal, ring is a switch, and sleeve is the ground of the input.
