The collector on my CV7112 broke. the lead broke off right at the sealant.

Any way I can fix this? bah!
Totally throws a wrinkle in my day.

Wow that sucks.....I don't know of anyway to get that back on there.

I'm not sure what it looks like, and I am new at this, but couldn't you just say a prayer and try to solder it back on?  There's probably a big danger of overheating it though

Well, that's one way to make germanium diodes.  :icon_eek:

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.

Is the case connected to the collector? If it is you could probably solder a wire to the case.

azrael

nah, I think the case is plastic or something. :(

maarten

Carefully file away some of the case untill you can solder it; as it is now you can't use it anyway.
