Hi. xD
So we have:
Tonepad project here:
http://tonepad.com/project.asp?id=22
and
Middle control scheme here:
http://img218.imageshack.us/my.php?image=modifiedsansampgt2equaltt0.png
And we have my questions...
Can anybody "join" those schematics? Well, is it really necesary to modify also the treble/bass control, instead of just adding the middle control section? This would be nice, cause anybody could just made a simple pcb with one opamp and stick it with glue to the middle pot, and join with the main tonepad pcb, just cutting 2-3 traces on it. I think you know what I mean...
Are those treble/bass changes umm... good? xP I mean, anybody tried them? If they're good, maybe someone would finally make a new schematic and/or a pcb with all those mods.
Anyway, mid control in gt-2 would be really nice, so if someone's actually able to do it, think about it, and do your best, for the whole lame part of diy community. xP
Maybe even I could do it, but my main problem is time... I have saome projects unfinished because of lack of time, but when I'll find it, I also want to try to build this su...ker. So if someone could just prepare it. :P
Regards,
Meff.

Is there a schem for the mid control mod?

Yes, the Baxandall tone control also exists in forms with mid band control. In fact, I have even seen versions where the Baxandall circuit is turned to a full graphic EQ with various mid-band controls.

I think the only problem in converting the current bass-treble circuit to a mid-banded circuit is tweaking the corner frequencies to match the original design.

Alternatively you could just throw in a mid control stage to follow the current tone control circuit. Their response is initially flat anyway so it's not changing anything drastically. e.g.
