BSIAB2 shielded wire?

Hey guys,

I've almost finished the vero for my BSIAB2 (just waiting for low-value pF caps to arrive in the mail) and i'm wondering about a couple of things;

1: it's high-gain, so will i need to use shielded wire?  if so where do i use it, or just everywhere?
2: the trimpot is bigger than whoever made the vero anticpated so i had to have the + caps touching it, angling away (annoying
    as the rest of the vero is very neat, my best yet) - does this matter?  will it cause squealing etc?
3: does anyone have a good link for painting enclosures (I have a spraycan of paint, spraycan of laquer and a small toaster oven)?

thanks!!   :)

I would recommend using a shielded wire between the input jack and the input to the circuit board.

Shouldn't think so, but only one way to find out for sure....

Good info in the wiki...

Hope this helps!

willdo with the input jack/circuit board.  read up on wiki (which directed me back here!) and it seems around 140 deg. Farenheit for 30ish minutes
(so beavis says).  i'll give it a crack.  i only have some car touch-up paint lying around but i guess it'll do for starters, then i'll worry about clear coat
after that.

thanks for the info!  anyone else care to input?

Hello, i've made a BSIAB2 and i used for all wireing shilded cables. No hum and no feedback from the box even with the max. gain and volume.

cool i might try a mix of the two, depending on how it goes (if it does!) for a start.  thanks!   :)
