I'll have a schematic complete soon, But here is the video, its from my phone, so even clean the phone is distorting.. sorry.. Also This case is an electrical outlet box, a 4 gang box I bought at Good will for $1 for each half (or two chassis)  so I need to go back through and fix wiring issues causing noise..

but Its a 6AF11 Compactron, http://www.nj7p.org/Tube4.php?tube=6af11 which has two tri0des, one lowish mu  and one med mu, for current they are close the a 12au7.
its also contains a sharp cut off pentode.

I wanted a tone stack so I added a 12ax7 as a cathode follower.  This has two gain controls, the 6AF11 triodes are first in the stage, and a 500KA between the two trides and one following before the 12ax7, this give awesome control over both tone and overdrive. I am using the tone stack from the AX84 HO, which I believe is very Marshall like.

I do have a question, when I am running 10K:4 for the OT it sounds good, and volume is about the same as a firefly (so what 1.5 - 2watts) but when I go 5K:8 I get a lot louder, as expected, more than a ecc99 in my firefly, but this is the question there is a 160ohm cathode resistor, and I read 3.5 volts when I am pushing no signal, which is 21ma, so subtracting screen current, I am well below max, and it jumps to 4 volts or 25ma when playing.. all good. But when I plug in 8 ohms I get more volume, but my voltage stays in the lower 3v.. so I am drawing less current but getting more volume? something I am missing here.

I am using a Hammond 269AX for power, and I read 170v on the pentode plate.

I am looking for all feed back and advice.. I am thinking that after this of using two of these tubes by them selves as a push pull amp, this is why I have the question on the OT..

yep, they are easy, I am dumb...  :icon_mrgreen: :icon_mrgreen:

the amp in the back uses 12v car radio tubes, so no high voltage.. 24v...

then in front is my valvecaster, but then I have  a Gov'nr, a little angle (thanks Greg!!)

I miss stated the question... sorry
I had this connected to 10K:4ohm and got 1.5 - 2watts out, but then connected a 8ohm to the same connection instead of the 4ohm, making it  20K:8ohm and it got twice as loud.. I know speaker iefficiencies matter, but they are only 1db different by spec.
