Hello guys,

I just had an ideea regarding some new tube preamps (boosters) designs. That ideea got to me after i have read the article from this site: http://www.junkbox.com/electronics/lowvoltagetubes.shtml.

So i was wandering: could we use submini penthodes that are designed for high voltage (like 160-200v) at a 12v anode voltage. The theoretical solution is that: you put G1 at the same voltage as anode, the input signal will be on G2 and G3 will be at Gnd potential, the anode will get the same voltage as G1.
With this design you will get a acceleration for the electrons and maybe a better curve of amplification for the tube @ low voltages.

What do you think about that? Any ideea or comment is welcomed.
