Hello!

I have some problems with this voltage multiplier
http://www.sm0vpo.com/power/vconv_01.htm

I tried it with 2 diferent layouts, but it doesn't work... Output is 0,5V less than the input voltage. -I tried it with 18V, 12V and 9V - all the same....

Where coud be the problem? I use the red link for voltage doubling. How can I check if the oscliator works?

I would like to use this circuit for doubling the voltage from 9V to 18V, because I need a little bit more current than I can get from Max1044.

Thank you!

Well, for starters I'd try to follow the input voltage thru the circuit.  Check transistor, cap and diode orientation...a reversed component could block circuit action.  Check for any solder bridges or bad connections.

Did you make a PCB for this, or are you hand-wiring?
Can you post transistor voltages?  It is easiest for the folks on here if you provide specific data such as supply voltage/voltage on each transistor and diode pin....

read the thread "What to do when it doesn't work" in the beginning of the forum.    ;o)

checked everything... Used the pcb prom the site.... And made my own from the schematics.

Any suggestions about the red / blue links?
