Hi.
I ´ve made a boomerang from this layout. it´s working alright. But it seems to be distorting a bit. The soundsamples I´ve found were all very clean?
The distortion is more present with my middle or neck pickup, and especially in the heel-down position. I´ve tried different transistors for Q1 (bc109s,2n2222a´s,bc108´s) Even tried one with an hfe around 150. The distortion didn´t dissapear?
I used an inductor from a dunlop crybaby? I´m not shure if the inductor has alot to say, when it comes to gain and distortion?
Thanks
-Kasper

You might want to try increasing the 120 ohm resistor off the emitter of Q1. Tack solder a 1k pot in its place and tweak till the distortion disappears. Replace with a fixed resistor.

Here's what I ended up with after encountering distortion with the stock schematic.

Worked like a charm. Settled for a 330 resistor. Thanks for the replies
