Just wondering how these pre-amp sockets attach together (they're from Smallbear - part 0708), the ceramic part fits into chassis mount but what the heck secures it? Any help would be appreciated  ??? :icon_biggrin:

the bottom part of the metal tube comes loose with a twist. the flange part needs to be riveted ( small screws work too)over the ceramic part to hold it in place.
it'll be clear to you when you hold the parts in your hand..

Okay, Got it.. Gonna have to drill chassis to make these fit. Thanks

Sometimes you have to drill the chassis; it isn't hard, esp. if you invest in a $10 hole saw of the right diameter!  A very little larger is ok, too.   Helpful to trace the socket and bring the tracing to the hardware store (or measure the diameter before you get the hole saw)....

I don't like that type of ceramic tube socket very much. I prefer this type:
