MXR filter mixing resistor Q

Okay so mine works. and I added a simple 2N2222 buffer in front and back of her.

Nice and wet with my bass but 2 questions.

1. what size caps would work better for an active 5 string?

2. What value mic=xing resistor for mor effect and less dry signal?

Anybody??

I figure I can take a 50k resistor and a 250K pot where the mixing resistor is... unless I am missing something.

and then what value caps for a better sound for bass? I like good highs but the low sound is muddy, not deep, if that makes sence.
