Could you give me some advice on using Ray's Cool New LFO http://www.musicfromouterspace.com/analogsynth/coolnewlfo.html I was hoping to build this circuit and combine it with a ring modulator circuit, 2 audio transformers and 4 diodes like the one here: http://www.asciipr0n.com/4096/ringmod/index.html. The idea would be to feed in a guitar signal and combine it with the output from Ray's LFO. Will this work and would I need to send in a boosted guitar signal, for example by using the output from a booster pedal?

I build the circuits but lack the knowledge of electronics to know these things myself.

What would you expect the LFO to be doing in the ring modulator?

You know that the passive ring modulator design does not have a built in carrier, right? Ie: you need to feed it two audio signal inputs to get any ring modulation effect out of it.

Edit: sorry, also, boosting the guitar signal into the ring modulator will be required. It will work fine with two line level signals though.

It goes up to 500 Hz stock, certainly audible, like a sharpened B above middle A. I would guess that replacing C3 in the schematic with a smaller value (make it switchable) would extend it's range upwards.
