Just like for my BSIAB2 here is how SansAmp sounds with my favorite setting. The song is the same as I played before, this time with Tonepad layout build of SansAmp GT2 and the particular setting I used for recording can be seen in the image, volume pot is slightly raised compared to the image. This is my favorite setting with all the rotary switches in pos 2. Gain all way up. Nice crunchy eighties sounds just like we all like it:)

Cheers!

edit: realized that this exported file wasn't normalized and rather quiet (low volume) so I fixed this and uploaded new file instead.

Wow,that looks killer, and you nailed the sound clip Satch.
Seriously thats JUST the Sansamp doing all the tone shaping ? :icon_eek: No post compression,EQ ?
I gotta build one if so.
I loved the sound clip, forgot it was a pedal demo...

I love that tone... What guitar did you use?

differo

I should have written a bit more, here it goes: played on a telecaster through sansamp with settings described above, a bit of delay (rebote 2.5 tonepad), a bit of reverb (fraverb tonepad) and finally through condor cab sim (runoffgroove). Eq is shaped on sans amp but a great deal of eq comes actually from condor cab sim. The clean guitar is the same rig with sans amp switched off. This pedal (sans amp) is really good, you can get these kind of tones mellow creamy dist but also a cleaner crunch/overdrive and even hard mesa alike tones as well. Build it! :)

The outside looks great!  Can we see the inside?   :)

I picked up one of these from a fellow forum member that needed a bit of repair. Now that I have it up and running, I absolutely can't get enough of the tweed setting.

Sometime, I'm going to build another so i can have a 2-channel sansamp :)

I will try to make some gut shots soon and put it here, forgot to mention that I didn't have any of those 'special' op-amps that are mentioned on tonepads webpage  I used just tl072 (I think or rc4558..) in other words pretty much standard stuff - and still I find this one a great pedal. :)

Crap...my GT2 build sounds fairly similar so there goes my last remaining reason for not sounding like Satch  :D

Nice work and nice playing!

Nice!  Do you have any problems with oscillation at high gain settings with that layout?

differo

Thanks:)
no, no oscillation with gt2, I had some with boogie but only when everything is at maximum. I've seen that some people used shielded cable but I omitted it in this one, as I don't find it very noisy. I did keep length of the cables as you see at minimum (well minimum is relative but you get what I mean).
