Anyone who has time please check my layout, I don't have a zener diode to hand to check it myself. I haven't checked but i think this is how the new sho is.

R3 must link the gate to the ground .

But the rest Look good .

(you can win some place in removing jumpers and put directely resistors and diodes instead)

Thanks Fuzzo R3 is wrong, Thats why its great to have a fresh pair of eyes on something. There seams to be massive differences between layouts by different people some use 2x 1m resisters? not sure what the correct values are. I've built a clone of the original SHO and thought i have a go at adding the zener like the latest version, although ive not seen details on what the real pedal does, I guess its something like the bellow.

The corrected version (hope ive got this now)

To the best of my knowledge the stock SHO uses 2 10M resistors.  This creates a very high input impedance and therefore a lot of brightness.  Sometimes lower value resistors are used (1K) to tame the high end.

There have also been two versions, one with 2 diodes for protection and a later version with only one.  Both designs work.

Thanks for clearing that up.
