Guys, what do you think about it?! Do you know how to replicate it?! 40$ For a pot, a trannie and 2 caps... :icon_eek:

The optimum-taper pot is non-standard, and I bet his cost is near $10 each (he has to buy a boat-load more than he will sell this year).

With standard-taper pot it is $10 of parts, leaving only $17 to deal with un-technical guitarists who don't know what a soldering iron is, or solder it all wrong, or actually get it right and don't like the result. _I_ would not take that headache for $17.

Some more pictures in a GuitarZone post. Some good clues revealed, not enough to take-off the complete connections and values. He opines: "When you consider the cost of the individual components and the time required to assemble and test the units, the prices are very reasonable. I can do this type of work, but from experience I know that it would take me at least an hour for each unit..."

"surfwhammy" posted a lot of thought-provoking material in that thread. I have to go back and see how the shower-head fits in.
