BSIAB2 project not working and pcb pad lifted/ lost

I recently purchased a BSIAB2 from General Guitar Gadgets. After fully following their assembly instructions, the pedal does not work. When enabled you can only hear some rain like sound when you turn the level and drive knobs full. However, when not enabled you can hear your guitar dry signal. Any clues of how to get it running?

I also need to repair a damaged pad in the pcb supplied with this kit. How do I repair the damaged pad? I inserted the wire i want to solder in the pcb but with no pad it cannot be soldered!

For the damaged pad, just follow the trace to a component leg/pad and solder it in there.
