ok...heres a layout for the old ETI one transistor fuzz. I havent had a chance to build it yet (tonite maybe...)...very simple build.....likely sounds very good, big, and FAT !

HOWEVER......

even though this layout is taken directly from the schemo on the web, my "guess" is that the input capacitor may be oriented backwards...the schemo has the positive side facing "away" from the circuit, which seems a wrong to me. it might be correct, but....

SO...if you build it before i do, and get no sound or weak sound, try reversing the input capacitor...its the electrolytic in the lower left hand corner of the board...and if it *is* reversed, please let me know, so i can change the layout file.

Thanks once again Andy !
Yes, that "looks" wrong but I have no time to build one just yet  !!
Just finished off a "Veroboard Vulcan" by Joe Davisson and it works great!
I'll post up the layout on monday :D

input shows as going to emitter, also via 22k to base...[?]

actually theres a cutout before the emitter... the input goes cap-22k-base

Azul Effects

I did build this directly from the layout and it worked perfectly.
I did have a problem with the pots. They only work if they are
turned a quarter of the way up otherwise no sound. All in all it's
a good fuzz sound but I would discribe it more as a fuzz booster
rather than a fuzz pedal.  It just doesn't have the umph I was
hoping for.
