Looks really interesting though a bit  expensive . Anyone own this and want to comment on it. I am thinking of buying it but it's a little bit of a stretch for me right now.

I own it and highly recommend it if you are interested in hifi design - for effects, its usefulness is rather limited. He doesn't use JFETs at all except for as VCRs and nothing about MOSFETs either. There is a section on clipping that is interesting and could be of some use, but the circuits end up being a bit complex for a quick build.

But still - I would highly recommend it.

I got a used copy and its not really a build your pedal type book ,but has lots of good info to learn electronics. That you can apply in your DIY endeavors.
I havent read much yet ,so thats just my initial impression.

EDIT> mine is an older pressing, still a good source of info and self education (nice pun huh)
I'm no EE or even a tech, just a monkey with a soldering iron that can read, and follow instructions. ;D
