You know looking at it,And reading what PRR and Mark have to say about it...Just an idea >
Thats a nice size and looking cab and chassis, and you already have the transformers and 3 main tubes needed for most Champ/EVJ type builds.
You even have a reverb tank and room for a trem channel and all the controls already in place.
I would first Google how much its actually worth in restored condition.
For the cost of new caps ,resistors, wire, and a tag board (the least expensive part of building a tube amp)
Building a Champ or modified EVJ is as easy a tube amp as you can build.
If the value isnt much and you arent super set on using the "Jet" tone as your sound.
I would build your choice of SE amps using the 12AX7,5Y3GT,and 6V6  then get another 12AX7 and build the trem channel from the 18 watt Marshall.
And then either use opamps (5532) to power the reverb,or do a straight copy from a classic Fender amp.(would require another transformer and tube but not expensive like the PT and OT,shoot with what your saving I would get a choke too)
That would be a sweet amp, an SE 6V6 with tube reverb and tube trem in a vintage cab with that old spkr (if it sounds good) would probably be worth as much or ALOT more than the restored Jet amp.
definetly worth gigging with and if you wanted you could even get a Hammond or other "better" quality OT with more spkr taps.
And have a nice 6-8 watt amp.
Plus you would be able to get tons of help to DIY going that route (SEwatt.com and 18Watt.com and here)
(And "I" said not to let anyone talk you into doing that  :icon_redface: :icon_rolleyes:)
I'm no EE or even a tech, just a monkey with a soldering iron that can read, and follow instructions. ;D

I'd like to hear one of these Alamo Jet amps that is working properly. I'm curious as to how it sounds with it having such a strange hybrid circuit in it.
