Need to build a simple 3 button midi footswitch

Hello there!

I would like to build a simple 3 button midi footswitch like a G-Control or Digitech FS3X to control a TC Electronic Nova System and get rid off my Behringer FCB1010, since I'm trying to reduce the pedalboard size. Could you help me or point me in the right direction? I know it needs 3 stomp switchs (2PDT?) and a stereo jack on the unit, and a stereo cable from the midi footcontroller to the Nova System, but of course I don't know hot wire the entire thing. I think I saw that they use a diode between the switches

As you see, I have a very small understanding of how it works, and I know you can help me finish this little box!!
