I just finished building a blender pedal.....which didn't work btw for some reason. But one strange thing is when I turn down the guitars volume the led dims. What would cause this? Also, is there anyway to check an IC to see if it is working? I think I may have put it in wrong at first which would explain why I didn't get any sound from the blender pedal. Also, I didn't install the battery connector but it has an ac input and should've worked without the battery snap given I wired everything else correct right? Any help would be highly appreciated. Thanks alot guys!

Do you have a schematic?

Check out the "DEBUGGING - What to do when it doesn't work" thread and post the information it specifies.  It'll be much easier for us to help you that way   :icon_cool:

Yes I have the schematic but I don't know if I can legally upload it. I bought it as a kit from a company. Does it matter?

They almost certaintly got it from somewhere else online, I shouldn't worry about it.

You should really go and ask them for help debugging it first then, they should offer support if they're selling stuff. If they can't or won't help then I wouldn't worry about posting the schematic.

but to me it sounds like you wired something wrong... your guitar pot and the LED shouldn't "see" each other to begin with. that could happen if the power wire touches the signal wire. that way, when you decrease resistance to ground on the volume pot, currents starts to flow through it, the more is the current, the higher the voltage drop caused by this will be... try to measure DC voltage on the pedal's input...
Only those who attempt the absurd will achieve the impossible.

Will do, thanks for the input guys. I will try to post the schematic later because I also have a new phase section added onto the shcematic, which wasn' there before, and I need to know how I would buile it on a perfoard and add it into the current board.
