I have two LED's to mount on a pre-manufatured / printed circuit board. They are part of a clipping circuit / Tubescreamer.
The board has the usual graphics / shapes to indentify where each type of component goes e.g. diodes , caps etc.
I am confused with the 2 LED mounts. Each LED position has the grapics showing the flat spot / neg. cathode. My confsion is with
the mounting holes for the two leads. When I postion the LED(s) to be oriented correctly the negative / cathode lead is going into a drilled hole
with a small square printed/ graphic. When I look at the capacitors etc. the negative holes have a round graphic.
This is a General Guitar Gadget kit so do I safely assume the print /graphics on the board for the LED mount directions are correct ?

are you talking about this: http://www.generalguitargadgets.com/pdf/ggg_its8_lo.pdf

don't worry too much about that. Doesn't matter which orientation they're in relative to the holes, so long as they're placed in opposite directions. They connect to the same wires, so theyre both equivalent circuits

Trust the silkscreened legend over the square or round holes.
