ill try to explain the best i can.  I just got done with a small clone build and am trouble shooting.  well the ground was broken off the dc jack and im still getting power to the pedal and the led light.  It will get power as long as the output or the input is hooked to my amp. if i unplug the chord going to the amp the power dies and the light dies.  but like i said there is no ground hooked up to the dc jack. im useing a daisy chain power supply with no battery snap in the pedal and no stero input jack. Is the pedal somehow getting a gound from the amps input? please if i havent made myself clear let me know.  by the way im getiing sound from the pedal it just isn't chorusing.

PRR

In many circuits, one side of the power supply is common with signal ground. Usually the negative side.

> im useing a daisy chain power supply

Then the negative side of the power for other pedals is passing through the signal ground to the mis-connected pedal.

> the ground was broken off the dc jack

Why don't you fix that?

> isn't chorusing

Then review the process in the  DEBUGGING posting, gather the information which may lead you or others to a diagnosis.

i did fix the broken ground i was just wondering how it was still working without. it seem inposible to my newbish mind. i really was only asking out or curiosity

when i said it wasnt chorusing i only offered that to say hey i screwed up there what else could i have messed up to cause the wierd grounding issue. i was looking for an awnser on how to fix

i must say last night i read through alot of  debuging threads,  made an audio probe, fixed the small clone (without haveing to ask question ;D_ and learned the most about how a circuit works than i have with any other build

thanks for your reply
