Latest Tremulus Lune Vero Layout?

Hi all,

I've seen this post but I really want the symmetry pot and LED back, I was wondering if someone had an up-to-date vero layout for the Tremulus Lune?

The much referred to "Torchy" layout seems to be MIA.

Thanks :)

this is the one I just built:

http://www.aronnelson.com/gallery/main.php/v/Gila_Crisis/Tremulus_Vero_NewRev.GIF.html?g2_imageViewsIndex=1

there's an indicator LED on there and a fine pot, but no symmetry. I wouldn't mind putting a symmetry control on there though, if it's pretty straightforward.

Thanks, I noticed this doesn't come up in the search for "Tremulus"...

I'd like some pointers on how to add the diodes for symmetry, if anyone has some.

The other question I have is to do with the LED/LDR combo - anything special about the LED?  Is it the brighter the better - to get a wider range?

Thanks,  in searching that thread, I found this one: http://commonsound.org/fud/index.php?t=msg&goto=997&S=467e714bfbaa6b40e1dfbd595f41ca31#msg_997

...and I suspect this is the essence of what I need to do:

Does this look correct?

The symmetry 2 wire could go straight to the Smooth 2 lug on the pot rather than the board, I imagine.

Almost the same thing, just wired the other direction... my guess is it will work out the same way, since your diodes are just facing opposite directions anyway.  I realized I could put those diodes immediately next to speed 3 in my beautiful diagram, which could simplify it or at least clean it up.

I used this explanation from commonsound to figure mine out:

Quote
Junction of two diodes to the 2K/220K/103 cap/pin 7 trace on the board....

Either way, I like your diagram better.  I might make all of this offboard in any case.

I did it!  The symmetry mod worked fine as I sketched it (well I put the common diode lead in a less obnoxious spot, next to speed 3).  I didn't put in the LFO LED yet either, I'm not sure if I will... probably... we'll see.  Is that supposed to replace the basic status LED?

I didn't shrinkwrap or cover the LED/photocell combo yet, either.  It seems to work well enough so far without it.  I'd still like to find out from some of you what kind of LEDs you prefer using.

glad you got yours working. Looks like you omitted the FINE control, right?

I've got the fine control on there and am trying to add the symmetry control. Here's what I have so far. I can't really figure out where SPEED 2 on the board would be. Do I need to rewire some pots?

Hm, doesn't look quite right.  Fine 2 is correct to the board, but fine 3 should connect to the middle (2) lug of speed, not 3.  Then, speed 3 connects to the board where it's labeled.

Then, symmetry 1 & 3 should connect to speed 3 (not 2) and symmetry wiper (2) should connect to speed 2 also.

Basically if you're leaving the fine control in, then wire it exactly as the board labels, and wire the symmetry pot in as above.

Hi,

I'm interested in this project. With the comments of BoxOfSnoo i modded the layout.

Here it is:

But I don't know where are connected Speed 1 and Fine 1.. and where goes the "connect to speed 2 on board"? Can't find it.

Ans where is connected Spacing 1 ?

Thank you for help

You don't need the wire for "connect to speed 2 on the board" because you have a fine control.  I left it out, so that's why I needed the connection, otherwise you're just going through the fine pot.  Speed 1, fine 1 and spacing 1 are not connected to anything.

Just get rid of that "speed 2 to board" wire and you should be OK.

another thing that might be nice, if you use the symmetry control, is to have it be a switched pot. So you could turn it off and have the waveform go back to being perfectly symmetrical without fussing with the knob. Or maybe just a switch in addition to the pot. Has anyone done this yet?

ugh. I had a working Lune pedal, I tried the mod and I think I messed something else up.
I can't get any sound through now, unless it's bypassed. The LFO LED lights up and responds to all the knobs correctly. But the power LED won't go on and I get a crazy humming noise, and no guitar signal.
If I connect the output jack ring to ground, the power LED lights up and the humming stops, but still no guitar signal.
I've tried an audio probe, but can't seem to find a signal anywhere. I've also tried new IC's, but that didn't help either. Any ideas?
