Hello all.
Just wondering if there's any major major setbacks to having jumper wires on either side of vero or perfboard? looking at it, i can't really see any massively apparent setbacks. Yeah there's one or two, but it seems they can be negated by taking care when soldering. The main reason i want to put a few jumpers on the copper side of the vero is to keep it a bit neater. There's a tonne of components in the way on the other side, so the copper side seems like a very realistic option.

Any pics of jumpers on copper side?

cheers,

I've done it without problems, with resistors as well as jumpers.

Just make sure that whatever you are putting on the back of the board is well insulated.  I put resistors on the back of boards sometimes and have started heatshrinking them after a little bit of chipped paint on a resistor caused me a whole bunch of annoyance and debugging.

cool. cheers. That's the last part of this build i've to do, and i wanted to check before i do it.

advantage:        you can achieve a smaller layout

disadvantages:   1) more chances of shorts
                         2) more trouble securing your board
