Hi,

I just put together GGG's Fuzz Face...although is a pretty simple protect (compared with the stuff I have successfully build), I couldn't get it working. I triple check all solders and realize that maybe there was something wrong in the waring...Is it possible that there's a mistake in GGG's layout?

...I finally got it working with this alternative wiring, but I'm not sure if it's correct...it sounds good though, but I'm afraid that connecting jacks rings to +9V will damage my amp , guitar or my precious POD :

...It would be great if anyone could check this wiring for me  :icon_confused:

Many thanks,

Pierre

Two questions: Which version did you build (PNP or NPN) and what layout are you looking at?

Pierre

hi, this is the PNP version, and the layout is for the positive ground...

Try tying the board ground (currently going to the Battery ground) to either the input or output jack sleeve.

Then, tie the battery ground to the Input jack ring.

This way, your board will be grounded when you insert the input plug AND you will also enable the battery (since you tie the two together with the input jack). This way, you can disable the battery any time you remove the input plug
