distortion ideas?

I'm looking to build a new distortion unit and cant really think of what pedal i want to do. I'm looking for a mix between a brownsound, modern hi gain marshall/mesa. I already got a BSIAB2 and dr booggie so something else would be appreciated. Anyone know of a pedal that can get that?

DLS is a good one to do. I built one, and it's pretty raw.

Madbean has a PCB if you want one.

hmm, all good ideas. The DLS seems more of a overdrive than distortion. IMO i dont think it can get the gain i want. Im probably gonna settle for a MI Audio Tube zone clone i found.



the videos I've watched on it seem great and it sounds very versatile. I was lucky enough to find that layout and a PCB transfer already made.

If you put a rangemaster or Omega(runoff groove) in front of the DLS you can get some pretty heavy gain.

The DLS is one the of the best sounding pedals out there right now.

The tube zone is much more compressed and doesnt sound as natural but does have more gain.
