Alright this is probably very simple I just have to get my head around it.  I want to make an AB box for a guitar and a mic input for my effects chain and run both to the amp.  I'm going to get this for the impedence mismatch http://www.zzounds.com/item--AUTCP8201.  I wanted to build a feedback loop too, so figured might as well put them in the same box.  I want to put a gain control for only the mic input, leaving the guitar signal untouched.  Anyone know the best way to go about this?

QuoteHI, I don't thing the switch will work because i want to run a mic through 1 effect pedal then a guitar through another effects pedal (the pedals are hand operated) look at diagram

Actually, I think you might have to clarify what you need a little more.  There are lots of diagrams for ABY boxes and Feedback loops on the forum do some searches and let us know, we'll help you put it all together.  Maybe a diagram of how you want the signal to flow would help

Thanks for the reply.  I searched a lot of topics and found a lot of aby boxes, mostly with 2 outputs or switching between 2 guitars, and a lot of "show us your pedals builds" for some reason.   Most of the questions about mics into pedals went unanswered and I remember one went into an impedence conversation.  So here I am.

But heres a paint portrait of what I'd like to happen, the gain pot/kill switch are only for the mic input, I'd like if the guitar signal went untouched.

For the Feedback loop I was just going to use Beavis' loop.

I figured I could just add the 2nd input for the mic with a pot and on/off switch onto the Beavis diagram but I'm no expert.  First thought was just connect the tips and sleeves of the jacks but then where would I put the gain for the mic input?  Thanks again.

THIS!  This is exactly what I'm looking to make - with or without the feedback looper.

Input 1 for guitar, input 2 for the mic and output 1 going to the pedalboard or a feedback loop containing the pedalboard
