Silly footswitch assignments are useless to the units.
Anyone look inside, have idea if the internal switches could simply be paralleled [through 2 x 10' of cable into footswitch box] ?
Is there a requirement that can't be met that makes the Jam men's FS3X footswitch switch stuff I'll never use and not be useful for recording?
Stereo version has Undo...but no record !
Jamman has Record...but no UNDO !
For the footswitch to be useful to recording remotely, Record and Undo are required, otherwise it's wait while noise adds in the 1rst loop around, catching the second loop to record playing on, silly. Get up, go over, hold down the undo, go back, sit down again...that's the Jamman ! The Stereo Jamman Goes: hit record then run back behind the drums...or have Jamman's required cables re-strewn over by the drumset and mixer...wait...there is no 'over by drums and mixer', they just want to be separated...ok...I need to buy all longer cables for better spaghetti.
Anyone with advice about how I should or shouldn't be able to tear Stereo Jamman thing open and fix it to be useful for remote recording switching ?
Checked the cable [vox foostswitch TRS cable] perfect.
Diodes check out, footswitch wiring is perfect, even the measured switching is...only thing is where the two anodes are that can't be directly short to ground measured, the diodes work.
So...footswitch seems to work as shown, but doesn't work with the STjamman. Or I made bad mebad, only switches the stupid reverse [like i'd use that...since nothing actually works except reverse, I suspect something is wrong, even if it worked right it'd be useless...
Waiting till I or someone has figured out the record/undo process for remote FS'ing.
