Dity Sanchez -FAIL- want/need help :(

Hi-

I built the Dirty Sanchez using the PCB on this page (http://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/index.php?topic=49770.60); the one named "Dirty Sanchez - unverified."

All I seem to have is a glorified noisemaker; no real fuzz, no synthy type-stuff; just popping, hissing.

Read thethread and am at the limit of my abilities.  Can't figure it out.  Anyone up to helping?  By help I am hoping that someone feels they can fix it.  I'll send it and go from there.  I am really intrigued.  Tried building it over 18 months ago and return occasionally to try to debug.  Too frustrated, really want it to work. 

Anyone feel up to it?

1) You built a pedal from an unverified layout

Can't expect it to work if it's unverified.

2) After reading the next page of the thread, the author of the layout states that they got their pedal to work by flipping the transistors around.

Maybe try that!  That layout does indeed show the transistors as being in backwards.
