Hey guy I'm having problems printing out artwork to make my pcb's at home. The way i usually do it is i insert the image in a word document and re size it in there. I've been doing that but when i print it the image comes out a different size. I re size the image to lets say to 10.6cm x 6.6 when i print it out it measures 10.1cm x 6cm. I've tried using photoshop but i lose a lot of resolution. Is there any other way to do this  ???

Make sure your page settings in the document matches the paper size in the printer. For example if one says A4 and the other is using Letter size it will rescale to fit the printout media. I don't use Word for mine. I use GIMP which is just like Photoshop and I work in 300dpi so every 30 pixels equals 1/10th an inch. Then as long as my image isn't larger than the paper size it prints actual dimensions. But I usually print from GIMP straight to an Adobe Acrobat Pro file and print from that with scaling set to "none" in Acrobat. It's easier to share scale PCB layouts in PDF format that way too. Some picture viewers want to scale any image file to fit the page or scaled to standard photo print sizes.
