has anyone worked on a nanoverb before?  I got a dead one from a buddy and was going to see if I can poke around - way over my head - I know.
Anyone seen a schematic?  thanks, Steve

The FX part is completely digital, so you'll most likely see in there A/D and D/A converters, a DSP chip and an EEPROM, probably some buffers and some components relating to the power supply. First thing I'd suggest is identifying at least one IC and getting a datasheet to find out which pin(s) should have power going to them. Then you can probe to see if the power section is healthy.
Bringing you yesterday's technology tomorrow.

Wow, that is an old box. If memory serves there should be the M4C DSP, an MT4C4256 256Kx4 DRAM or equiv, ADC, DAC and an 8051 type micro. You should be able to find datasheets for all the chips except the M4C as that was a custom Alesis DSP (I designed it but do not recall the pinout).
