Adding Input Gain Mod to a big muff?

Ok can anybody show me a diagram that explains how to connect a pot to a Big muff that would allow me to adjust the input gain of the circuit.  Also how to wire a voltage starve pot would be great.  I'm attempting to create a end-all-be-all muff for me.

just wire the input jack / dc jack the same as the output jack. (wiper goes to circuit, first lug to jack, 3rd lug to ground) & check out
