Random Number Generator parts

Hey i'm new so sorry if this is silly but what is the best way to gather the parts necessary for this schematic? Can I just walk into my local electronics store/ radio shack and find most of what I need?

also just general schematics/ electronics what do I do with the grounds in this schematic. I just have forgotten what that means. Are these wires connected to something or just floating?

thanks I somehow missed that section. Very helpful.

However, I still can't figure out which caps to buy on small bear. All the shematic calls for are three .01 and one 10uf electrolytic (i believe. it says    10uF  +| |   )
