Hi ive just got some mpsa13 transisters so i thought id make the bazzfuss v3 thats on home-wreaker .com.
Ive breadboarded it and used the exact components but it sounds more like an overdrive and isnt as crisp sounding as the joshik72 video on youtube. i tried changing the caps to the ones he said he used in the video. The main difference is im using a US standard telecaster not a les paul but if anything i would expect more treble and a thiner sound. is it because i have weaker pickups? any ideas would be great as i can't get my head around this one.  ???

What value is your collector resistor?  There are a couple of different variations on that site.  One uses a 10k resistor, another uses a 100k.

Try a little tenderness.

Is your diode around the right way?  Is your emitter grounded?  This should have quite a bit of gain.
Try a little tenderness.
