Hi Guys,

Could I use the Vanishing Point sequencer to control the frequency sweep of my Crash Sync? Is this idea a total crap?

Taylor

Nope, not crap. Seems like a fine idea to me. Just place a light dependent resistor where the frequency pot goes, and point the LED that's lit up by the VP at the LDR. Or replace the LED and LDR with an integrated optocoupler. The Crash Sync's pot is a 100k, so an opto with similar max resistance would offer similar functioning. The frequency range could be extended by using an opto or LDR with higher max resistance; just don't go too wild and get a 500meg opto.  ;)

Thanx a lot for your reply :) So I just need to find a suitable LDR. Not an easy task for me actually as they are not so easy to find in Russia. :'(
