tube project

After building a few pedals (some from kits, some from scratch) i finally feel confident enough to build something involving tubes. Im thinking of something like a 2 channel preamp similar to mesa v twin pedal or the hughes and kettner tube king. Anyone know of a few good projects like that or sites where i can get kits? Big thing is that i needs to have LOTS of gain.

Have a look at the Paia website, they have a kit which is in the H&K style - low voltage, with a voltage multiplier up to 40, 45 volts to feed a tube. This is combined with some opamps. I forget the name of the kit, but the schematic is is also published there, so you can see for yourself whether it the thing you are looking for.
