Diode orientation: Hard to tell on this one

Which side is supposed to have the little stripe that normally indicates... positive I think?   I can't figure this sucker out!  It's a germanium, if that matters..

Use your multimeter's diode setting.  When it is oriented correctly it will give you a reading, when it is backwards it won't.

In the "Diode Markings" illustration, third one from the bottom. Color bands side = Cathode, more glass side = Anode
