hello, I built an ugly face today since i was snowed in and i have been having some problems and was wondering if anyone had any insight.
when i plug in the pedal i get the fuzz and the volume pot works, as does the threshold, but the freq and sensitivity pots dont seem to do anything.  The only exception is when i have the threshold low (or high im not sure) and I get the osculation if i move the freq pot I get some response, but it doesn't seem to do anything if i strum the guitar.  I've been checking my connections and looking for solder bridges and everything seem to be good and i dont know what to check next, so I was wondering if anyone may know what the problem might be.  Also the threshold doesnt oscillate unless the volume is all the way up.  Below is the layout im using.  I made it quick so its kinda messy.

As it turns out I had a bad photocoupler b/c after i changed it it worked perfectly.

Perhaps it was just the other way around ?
the LED will burn quickly with no current limiting resistor.
The photocoupler can be tested, measure the resistance of the photocell side while the LED/Limiting resistor [for testing, 4k7 will do] and battery, either way is ok [try both since it's difficult to know which way around for sure] but only one polarity across the LED allows it to light the LDR.
Convention creates following, following creates convention.
