Tonepad Maestro FSH1 wiring & LEDs

Hi all,

I'm getting ready to build the Tonepad Maestro FSH1 v2.  I have a couple of questions maybe someone knows the answer to.  First one is, do I wire this one up with a 3pdt?  If both of the S/H and Up/Down Switches are off, theres no effect?  Or does it need the usual 3pdt wiring to bypass the effect?  The second question is, i have seen a couple of people put leds for each of the effect switches and was wondering where on the board i could add them?  Like this guys:

Im assuming this guy isnt using all of tonepads effect options, (up and down, sample and hold) and one of those switches is a 3pdt? 

Sorry, Im a bit confused..

Any help would be greatly appreciated as always!
